34 random things about me:)

happy-birthday-stamp

  1. I don't have a favorite color. I like them all. But pink & purple are my least favorite colors. Coincidentally, my daughter feels the same way.
  2. I floss every night. But have only been doing this religiously for the last couple of years. I had a very convincing hygienist.
  3. Whenever I get away without my kiddos I miss them within the first thirty minuets.
  4. I'm a scatter-brain and rarely know what I'm cooking for dinner. But always seem to come up with something. My husband has never complained.
  5. I fell in love with photography when I was a little girl. Inspired by my Aunt the Photographer and my mom the model.
  6. I love vintage cocktail dresses. I have a few in my collection.
  7. My favorite job in the whole wide world is being a mommy. Nothing in this life could, or ever will give me more satisfaction. I count myself blessed everyday to be able to be my three Gs mommy.
  8. I love to blog, but rarely do. I don't like all the competitiveness. And I don't want to get caught up in it. That being said, when my kiddos get older I might blog more. Not having a lot of readers/comments really depletes the drive to blog. If I was able to work at it like the big blogs do, I know I would enjoy it more.
  9. I eat healthy so I will be healthy. Simple. My parents taught me well.
  10. Working out and practicing yoga are a part of my daily routine. Just like brushing my teeth. It is often inconvenient, but I don't give myself an option.
  11. Roses are my favorite flower, but not so much red. Hydrangeas are my second favorite. They remind me of my childhood and my great grandma's house.
  12. I hum while I work. My dad has the same habit and it annoyed me growing up.
  13. I can't stand being called "sweetie or honey" by someone younger than me. By someone older, is totally fine.
  14. I like to think of myself as easy going or laid back, but sadly that's not the case. Although, I am trying not to be such a perfectionist and relax more.
  15. I don't tan or get my nails done anymore. Saving money and being smarter with my health. Plus, acrylic nails are so out of style!
  16. I wear sunblock and so do my kiddos. I wish I had listened to my Mom and my Grandmommy years ago. I was rebellious and insisted on the baby oil.
  17. I was a child-bride (18)...God has been merciful and saved our marriage.
  18. I shop at thrift stores because I like the hunt and it's in my blood.
  19. I'm not really a dog person. Even when people think their dogs don't smell, I can still smell them. I'm less and less a cat person these days...I have enough mess to clean up.
  20. I have a bedtime routine. Vitamins are in the mix.
  21. I wish I went to bed earlier. But I love my quiet time at night.
  22. Coffee is my friend.:) btw, I hate that commercial for 5 hour energy. If you've seen it you know what I'm talking about. The sleepy guy that doesn't want to get up, finally does and when he opens the cabinet to get his energy drink he greets it with "hello my friend"...so. annoying.
  23. I am a very proud Texan, but will admit there are a lot of prettier places to live.
  24. I've never been to Florida.
  25. I have two tattoos. My grandparents are ashamed of this. This makes me sad, but I know it's not wrong. I would like to get some ink added to the one on the small of my back to make it less of a stamp. I don't like tattoos to show on girls. Unless you're in a swimsuit. Doesn't mean I haven't been tempted to get some visible ones, but then I think about wearing a cocktail dress or ball gown...not my style.
  26. I always wanted to own a Volkswagen beetle.
  27. My daddy drove an orange Volkswagen camper van when I was growing up. I was embarrassed. But now look back with fond memories of it.
  28. I love breastfeeding my babies.
  29. I wish I was more grateful for my pre-kiddo body.
  30. My thirties have been far better than my twenties.
  31. I'm realizing more and more I need to have a close relationship with God. That no one is going to give me as much peace and direction as my heavenly father. I wish I believed this in my heart in my twenties.
  32. I have regrets but I have a Savior who has washed them away.
  33. I love my husband's omelettes!
  34. I love life. And I finally see old age as a huge gift. I hope old age is in God's plan for my life. That would be just lovely. I want to see my kiddos grow up and see my grand-kids. And travel with my old hubby. We have plans. But God only knows...

" For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".

    Jeremiah 29:11

Hey lady! I forgot about checking your blog every so often, until I was making my meal plan today-I wanted to make your "dump soup!"
I hope you don't mind me calling you "honey" it's such a habit to call my friends that! it's a term of endearment for me!
I loved reading these things-some I knew, some I didn't. It was like having a couple hour conversation with you, in 5 minutes :)
xoxo
