Revamped For Nursing

revamped for breastfeeding
I love dresses...and I love nursing my baby, but they don't mix. There have been a few times I have had to wear a dress when breastfeeding. Like at my sister's wedding, when Gwyneth was one....actually the only times I can think of that I wore a dress and nursed were at weddings. It's not easy or pleasant. So I won't do it, unless the occasion really calls for it.

So I had this dress...wasn't very cute on,  maybe because I still have some weight to lose...but LOVED the print. So I got the idea to make it a skirt. Super simple...

Did some trying on to determine the length before cutting.

ended up not using the elastic

Decided to make the top of the skirt fold over like my favorite yoga pants.

pinned it and sewed
Had to take it in a tad on the top portion to make it a little tighter, so it wouldn't fall down.

But overall, really easy revamping and now I can enjoy the print of the fabric and nurse with ease.

I wore this outfit on Sunday. Had the hubby take some pictures of me out back...on the neighbor's woodpile, to be exact. Sounded good at the time but looking at them now, it seems kinda weird. Oh well, I'm not a model. Just look at the outfit...I think it's cute! All the pieces are frugal fashion finds!;)

You look so chic! I can't get over your hair!! I kind of want to cut it in the middle of the night and glue it on my head. (sorry that was creepy. ) :)
