These boots love me too much...

 

I met these boots Monday. Instant attraction. Though, they were a little pricey for a thrift find, I opted to get them anyway since they had the color tag that was 50% off for that day. All leather, barely worn soles. Which is why "they love me too much". They need to be broken in.

I had the HARDEST time getting them off on Monday. I wrestled with them til my knees hurt, but finally got them off. Once they were off I was like, "yeah, that won't be happening again". My three year old even tried to help me, sweet little thing.

I was pretty bummed, but determined to break them in. I googled how to break in  cowboy boots. Found lots of info.

One thing was to submerge them in water and wear the around the house til they molded to the shape of your foot. Didn't do that, but I did decide to leave them in the rain and put hand weights in them. I like to think I think outside of the boot;) har har 

I have them on again right now...wearing them around the house today. Might be calling my neighbor if I have as much trouble as last time. My daddy who is a big cowboy boot wearer suggested I get a boot jack. It's this wooden thing that helps assist you in removing cowboy boots. Yeah, should have gone to get one yesterday. But no, I wanted to try again. I must love a challenge or at least a non-conventional way to get a workout in. We'll see how this goes...
