I needed a little lift;)

I've had long hair for my entire life...okay, minus the one year I didn't:) Which was after our honeymoon, back in 1996.

I like my long hair. I am kinda sorta attached to my long hair;)

BUT...

I do not like looking like an unkempt flower child or having a knotted bun on the top of my head most days of the week, but sadly, that's what it had succumbed to.:(

I've been talking about doing something new since Gibson's birth, but chickened out every time.

Today I got the nerve. Well, I got the nerve after calling two friends and heytelling two of my sibs. Thankfully all of them agreed for me not to cut a lot off, but some layering would look good.

My hairdresser/bff had an opening this afternoon. Well, she created an opening since I told her I was going to the mall if I had to...since I found the nerve to finally do it!:) She's sweet like that...

So I loaded the kids in the car and headed her way, before I changed my mind.

Did I tell you my siblings got me an i-pod touch for my birthday??? Yeah, I have the best family! So lately I've been all about the vids:) I kinda sound awkward and often look at myself, but I find it a lot of fun!

Okay, here are the before and after vids...after you see them, you're gonna say, "um, okay" I know I know, I didn't get a lot cut off, but it is a big change for me.

I'll have to post some pix of it really styled. Let's see how it holds up in the real world that is my lif as mommy. I'll probably still look like a hippie.:)
