DIY: Pretty Peach Petals {{Revamped Cardigan}}

"Don't SAY you're gonna do it. Just do it"!!!

**That was me giving myself a pep-talk. Okay, I'm back. Finding time to blog and work on my etsy is getting harder and harder.

But I'm here right now, so...

I wanted to share with you a fun easy way to makeover some of your old clothes.

I got this old peach cardigan at a swap I hosted last spring. It's not anything fancy, but of course the color was what drew me to it. I love peachy orangey things.

--If you're the girl that brought it, THANKS A TON!!!--{{Wink}}

It's been hanging washed and ready, for almost a year. ugh. But that's okay, cause I FINALLY got to it! Hubby and I did "our own thing" one night last weekend, so while he was playing x-box I got to do a little sewing.;)

petal pattern
You can draw this, right? Thought so:) measures 3" diameter

There's the sweater. Natural light made it look almost pink.

Peach cardigan revamp
Just fold the petals a couple of times, pin on and either sew with the machine or by hand.
I usually use a paper towel as a pattern. I can draw on it, cut it out and pin it to the fabric to cut out my piece.
Bad thing is I usually end up tossing my pattern after each project instead of saving it for next time.

The fabric I used was on hand. My sis and I found it one late night at Wal-mart when we were looking for props for photography.

I used it one time for a maternity shoot and wasn't all that pleased with it for shoots, but it's been fun for accessories.

Wal-mart sometimes has some real deals on their fabric, like $2 a yard. But not all wal-marts have a fabric section where you can get fabric cut. Some just have a small pre-cut section, with a pretty bad selection.

This fabric is an airy sort of stretchy polyester. It almost feels like thick pantyhose.

Hope that inspired someone. Now off to finish the housework while the boys are still napping. Wish me luck;)

Oh and have a super weekend!!! XO
