Thank you for the pomegranate baby

My hubby has been doing a lot of the grocery shopping lately. It's easy for him to swing by the store on his way home. I immensely appreciate this, because going to the grocery store with three kiddos is enough to put me into a heavy sweat. Let's just say, grocery shopping alone sounds almost as good as a mani/pedi.

I often send my husband with a list, but he's good about picking stuff up on his own. Like the HUGE tub of white cheddar cheese puffs he picked up last weekend.;) Thank goodness I sent those to work with him on Monday.

but...

He also brings home healthy items, like this pretty pomegranate.

So this morning I thought I'd send G some pomegranate yogurt in her lunch.
It's been so long since I'd cut one, I decided to google the best way to go about it and of course share my delightful experience.
  1. Cut off the flowery end of the pomegranate.
  2. Score into sections.
  3. Place in a bowl of water.
  4. Allow fruit to soak for a minute.
  5. Break the sections of the fruit open in the bowl of water.
  6. Allow the seed kernels to separate from the rind and sink to the bottom.
  7. Discard the rind and drain the kernels.
