FFF: Purse, you got some 'splainin' to do!

A couple of weeks ago I told you guys I had gone thrifting. Well, this vintage knockoff is one thing I found that day.

I am so puzzled by it though. At first, I thought it was something other than a Chanel knockoff. I thought maybe it was a designer from the 50s that looked  like Chanel. For one thing, instead of the CC logo, the Cs are closed...I read that is a knockoff trait, but I can't find any pictures of this on line and  there is the little registered R on it. So I'm still curious.

I did read somewhere while on my mad google searching that some designers in the 50s changed the CC logo slightly to be able to get it registered, in order to legally sell.   

I googled it a ton the first night I had it. But I can't find this purse anywhere.

It's in great vintage shape. Real leather. Cost me $4. from the gw. Since I'll most likely never own a real Chanel 2.55, this is a fun addition to my purse collection.

I've been waiting to post all my "finds"...since it's tough to get my hubby to shoot pix. We're so busy and yeah, there isn't any time for this momma to play model.

A bit grainy, but I am not complaining. Thank you, babe. oh and that's one of my new leather cuffs.

 
I have decided if I am going to continue my Frugal Fashion Find post, we will snap a pic of me after church on Sundays. That's about the only time I wear makeup and this way it doesn't turn into a crazy modeling session where the baby is crying and our kids need a referee.

Any ideas on this purse? I need to ask my friend, Kristin. She owns a couple real Chanel bags. I bet she's cringing at the sight of this fake. Sorry, Tin. ;)
