Shake it up baby!

So I can be a bit of a health nut sometimes. So what makes me kind of a health nut?... I add spinach to my fruit smoothie...I know sounds gross but it isn't, you can't even taste the spinach.

If you find it hard to get your leafy greens and fruit in on a daily basis you should really consider trying this shake. My kids drink it...and until they saw me add some spring mix to it they had no idea. I told them to not worry...it will get all mixed in. They drank it and had no complaints. I usually add the leafy greens when they're not looking;)
So here's the shake I drink most days of the week. Unless I have a salad that day...
Shake

Ingredients:

~Handful of ice
~1/2 C apple juice
~1/2 C plain yogurt
~1/2 C frozen blueberries
~1/2 frozen banana(sliced into a few pieces)
~tsp. peanut butter
~heaping handful of spinach or spring mix salad

Chop and puree in blender til smooth!
Oh and if you're wondering about my frozen banana, when my bananas are ripe and I know we're not going to finish them in time... I peel and break them in half and stick in a freezer bag and save them for my shakes. They work great!
